DEMAND FOR ABOLITION.
Counter claims are being prepared by Germany ror recovery ol the cost of damage caused by Allied r.ir raids or sustained oy Germane Interned in Entente countries. Mr .Churchill hae again emphasised that the disposal of Turkish provinces and colonies captured trom Germany will be dealt with at the Peace Conference, which will give prime consideration to the wishes of the native residents concerned. The territories will not, in any case, be returned to their former ownere. All the Turkish naval vessels, the Russian Black Sea fleet (one Dreadnought and six destroyers), the notorious Goeben, and four German submarines, have been handed over to the Alhos, and are ,e----curely ✓interned in Constantinople waters. It is officially stated that the abolition of conscription throughout Europe will be insisted upon by the British representatives at the Peace Conference. Various rumours are current to the effect that sections of the Allied troops, while traversing the German country west ot the Rhi£ have come into belligerent collision with the German soldiery, but the reports lack confirmation. Great Bolshevik developments in Germany are confidently prodieted by Herr Liebknecht, the Socialist leader, who aasene that a veritable tidal wave would soon eweep everything; before it from Berlin to the Rhine. He also declares that her holds the German cap.tal in the hollow of his hand.
