ARDENNES ROUTE OPENING.
BIG RETREAT ANTICIPATED

Military writers anticipate a further big German retreat in order to shorten their line and economise manpower. General Foch's plan to absorb the German reserves is working magnificently.
If the British capture Cambrai it will open the way to the Ardennes by the north-east. —A. and N.Z.
