EXPEDITIONARY FORCE. APPLICATIONS are invited from -*■ men between the ages of 18 and 50 for employment in home service as Garrison Artillerymen, Infantry Guards (or Internment Camps, etc.). Military Police. Clerks. Applications cannot be entertained from men of the following categories:— Those under orders for camp. Those whose appeals have been adjourned sine die. Those who have been called up in the Ballot and who have not been medically examined. Men employed in the Public Service or in industries essential to the State's interest. Successful applicants will be required to pass a medical examination and will then be posted into the Expeditionary Force, Home Service Branch, and will be transferred to the Foreign Service Branch upon becoming eligible for active service under the Military Service Act. ! While employed on Home Service, their rates of pay will be as under: — In camps or barracks, 5/ per day and found. Outside camps or barracks, 5/ per day, with 4/ in lieu of lodging or messing. Married allowance of 1/ per day for wife. ' Children's allowance of 9d per day per child for each child under 16 up to a maximum of 2/3 per day. Military Police will draw extra pay at the rate of 1/ per day. Clerks employed in camp will receive working pay up to 2/ per day.according to proficiency.
