After a rather protracted lapse of anything like organised games, the soptr of Rugby football in Whangarei end district has taken a new and active lease of life, no fewer than eight clubs having affiliated with the Whangarei Rugby Union and signified their intention of taking part in the competition, which will commence next Saturday with all the eight teams engaged. The prospect of good play and close rivalry for premiership is very encouraging, and a strong public backing should be assured.
