(Reuter Cable.)

AMSTERDAM, July 20

In the Reichstag, Dr. Michaelis, the Chancellor, referring to the Russian offensive, said that: "General Brusiloff's goal was Lemberg, and the o'.l wells near Draholiycz, in order to impair our submarine war. Half an hour ago I received the following message from Marshal yon Hindenburg: 'Provoked by the Russian offensive in Galicia, a strong attack was inaugurated there to-day, by and under tha personal leadership of Prince Leopold of Bavaria, resulting in the Austro.Germans breaking through the Russian positions .near Zloczow, 30 miles east of Lemberg. General Brusiloff's gains have therefore been equalised."
