Reports to the State Department indicate that Germany is short by 600,000 bushels of wheat required before the harvest. The crop prospects are reported to bo good in West Germany, but other sections are hurt by dry weather and frost.' Tho Government is said to be requisitioning one of every two head of cattle. It is rumoured that part of tho provisions sent from the United States for Belgian relief work Avas consumed in German hospitals at Antwerp.
