He was bred by Mr A, Alexander, Hirstland, Taranaki (one of the best judges of Clydesdales in the Dominion), who retained him for use in his own stud till this season. Knight of the Thistle (10,789 Vol. 22, 5.C.5.8.) was Dred by Wm. Agness, Esq., and wa s purchased by Mr A. Alexander when on a visit to Scotland. Handsome Prince (Knight of the Thistle's sire) is by th P world renowned Prince of Wales (673, 5.C.5.8.) who was recognised as the greatest Clydesdale of last century. He wae only leased for the season for £1000 and his fee was 40 guineas a mare. TERMS: Single mare 3 guineas, payable Ist January; two or mor c by arrangement.
