HIKURANGI NEWS.

Saturday being the first fine weekend experienced for the last four weeks bowlers turned out in force to their favourite sport. The match committee got their work completed during the week, so that members were able to begin on some of the club matches. The following is the result of matches played:— Fours.—Wallace, H. Pearson, Olsen, Ball 2.3, v. Nelson, Dunn, B. Coutts, Seoble 19; Millington, J. Kerr, Brown, Reid 21, v. Rodger, S. Pearson, Jim Hamilton and Shore 16. Pairs.—T. Ellis and Cotterill 23, v. C Kerr and E. Meyer 19; Wallace and Shore 25, v. Kelson and Jim Hamilton 8. Handicap Singles.—Pendergrast 19, v. Kells 15; Coutts 2:i, v. Pendergrast 8. Club Championship (three games)— Millington 23—11—24, v. J. Kerr 10— 23—16. The anniversary service was held in the Methodist Church last Sunday.
