DRIVERS' DISPUTE.
NOTHING DEFINITE REPORTED.
Though no definite pronouncement has come to hand yet, there is a general impression that the drivers' trouble has been settled in a manner satisfactory to the men. Further evidence of general support, by trade unionists is furnished in telegrams from 47 branches of tlio Amalgamated 'Society of Railway Servants, all strongly urging the fairness of the demand for a £:> minimum wage, a number of branches declaring this too low under present circumstances. The Advisory Board of the trausport workers' unions met at the amalgamated societies' head office, when a resolution of sympathy with the drivers was unanimously carried. Further action was deferred until the result of the conference with the cm. plovers is known.
