BAPAUME ROAD ATTACKED.

BRITISH GAIN SUCCESSES.

(Reuter Cable). (Press Assn.—Reed. 10.25 p.m.)

LONDON, October 13

General Haig officially reports: We delivered an attack this afternoon on the low heights intervening between our front and the Bapaume-Peronne road and secured successes. Fighting continues. The enemy heavily shelled our trenches north-west of Le Sars and north of Courcelette. Our aeroplanes actively bombed enemy lines of communication, aerodromes, and infantry marching during the last two days, notwithstanding unfavourable weather.
