(Press Assn. —Reed. 5.15 a.m.)

PETROGRAD, July IS

General Voldoff, head of the Red Cross in the north-western area, reports that two Russian battalions evacuated their trenches owing to asphyxiating gas. They left behind 100 men who were seriously wounded. When the Russians recaptured the trenches they found the whole 100 bayonetted. Some bore 20 wounds apiece. Photographs were taken as proofs of the atrocity.
