LATE DELIVERY.
DISTRIBUTION IN NORTH ISLAND
AUCKLAND, May 12,
The ten first-class Baldwin engines to order by the Government for tho railways from a Pliiladclphiiui firm arc on board the .steamer lavortay. The contract v;as completed within the specified time but delivery hi the Dβminiou was late owing to the scarcity of shipping and the, protracted voyage of the Invertay. The engines will be distributed throughout the North Island as circumstances require.
