SAILORS' GIFT COT.
ROYAL APPRECIATION

LONDON, May 7
The New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr T. Mackenzie, visited Rainsgate in connection with a gift cot to the Royal Sailors' Rest from King George's Rest Lyttelton. Queen Alexandra sent a message of appreciation of Lyttelton's generosity. Mr Mackenzie, in a speech, said that the overseas people believed under God in the invincibility of the British Empire and had unshaken faith in the invincibility of the British navy.
