BOILERS EXPLODED.

LONDON, May 9

(Reed. 9.35 a.m.)

John Davis, a member of the crew, said that they had a splendid voyage to the coast. They went at half speed when nearing Pastnet Rock, owing; to fog. Then they increased until full speed was rung- for. At 2.5 p.m. the vessel zig-zagged, but immediately after was struck in the bunkers. All the divisions weve rent and the coal scattered in alldirections. The ship fairly stood on end, and then dived like a duck. The boilers exploded and the funnels were blown out.
