She burned a quantity of lumber carried on deck, mixed with coal, until off Cape Coivllle, when the coal gave out entirely. The lumber would not burn alone. Tho captain wired for coal, which was sent, enabling the lnvertay to complete the voyage. shortage was caused by a heavy tropical storm which hampered the vessel's progress.
