BUSY OPERATIONS.
ENGLISH EAST COAST VISITED LOOKING FOR LONDON. STORY OF LES BARGES REPLACING SHIPPING LOSSES. WELL-JUSTIFIED PROPOSAL. A number of German aircraft, Including a Zeppelin, crossed over several of the eastern counties of England, dropping bombs at various places. The damage done, was small, and no loss of life is reported. Bombs were dropped in Calais from a Taube without doing any harm. Great activity is reported at the Emden and Cuxhaven flying bases. A graphic account of the capture of Les Eparges summit from the Germans records the remarkably valour and endurance of the French army audits growing superiority-over the enemy. * Out. of the returned members of the Sainoan garrison only 239 have re-enlisted. Three majors, five captains; and nine lieutenants ane included in the number. Destruction of a railway bridge by a French cruiser has broken the connection between Acre (coast of Palestine) and the Interior railway system of Syria. The French Minister of Marine Is considering , a proposal to re-' place vessels sunk by German submarines by an equal number of German ships tiow interned in French ports.
