KAIPARA HOSPITAL BOARD.
FINANCIAL POSITION EN-'
COURAGING
At the recent quarterly meeting of the Kaipara Hospital Board the treasurer's report showed that the local body was in a very satisfactory position as far as finance was concerned. For the past quarter the receipts had totalled £1302 12s -and the expenditure, which included salaries paid for four months, or one month into the coming quarter, amounted to £740 4s lOd, leaving a credit balance of £5C2 7s 2d in the bank. In addition to this balance, the Hobson County owed to the Board £801, the County, £784, the Dargaville Borough £185, and the Department of Public Health and Hospitals, £1529; so that the Board could rely upon £3,338 still to come. When the ear-marked expenditure of £178(0 for the Otamatea Cottage Hospital, its furnishing and maintenance, and for the installation of the X-rays and electric lighting plant at the Te Kopwru Hospital \yas taken into account, there was still a credit balance of £1,550 15s 2d remaining with which to meet all contingencies..
