The weather is wet and boisterous for the second day's racing at the Wellington Racing Club's summer meeting. The attendance is not so large as usual. The course is in good condition. Results: —

Mungaroa Welter.—Prince Laddo 3, Jem 2, Bonny Rigg 3. • All started. Jem came through in the straight and was challenged by Prince Laddo. After a great set-to the latter won by a neck, one length between second and third horses. Time, 1.31 4-5. Wellington Stakes.—Flying Start 1, Gold Foil 2, Hymettus 3. Scr: Legal Tender, Dribble. The track is now very slippery aud at the bend Bimeter, /Dinner Gong and Rangitiro fell, while Sutala ran off. Gold Foil led on the straight but was passed on the post by Flying Start, who won by a neck. Three lengths between second -and thiijxl. Time: I.S. a ■ ,'x January Patch 1, Crown Pearl 2, Beldame 3. Scr: Killaloo. _ ( The field was evenly despatched and was headed by Mt. Victoria, with Crown Pearl lying second. In the straight Crown Pearl overhauled the-leader. Briar Patch came through fast and won by a neck. Three lengths between second and third. Time: 1.42 4-5.
