RECOVERY OF PARES.
MELBOURNE, January 20,
The Federal Government is seeking to recover'£l623 expended on behalf of British passengers by the German liner Robn, which was held up at Batavia. in August. '■ So far only £ 246 has been recovered. The matter has been placed in the hands of the police. It is stated that 24 passengers proceeded to New Zealand. The Dominion Government will be asked to collect £327.
