MINERS CEASE WORK.
GENERAL STRIKE FAVOURED. (Press Assn.-H-Recd. 1.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 27. The miners at two Newcastle collieries —Abermain and Stockholm Borehole—-have struck. Th e nature of the dispute is unknown. There is considerable unrest at other collieries, and a disposition among the miners to embark on a general strike, in iresentment of the recent prosecutions in connection with the afternoon shift trouble.
