In November the Turkish military' , authorities arrested three Slav milkmen and charged tho-n with killing 15 Turkish soldiers and violating Moslem wonuuj. There was overwhelming evidence that the' men never left Constaminople during the war. The ■S'j'i*-. vian Minister accordingly applied for their release, and'was assured that they would be immediately liberated. ;

Irritated by the delay he reiterated the request, and the Porte officially ordered their liberation.
