An attempt is being made to resurrect the old Freetrade Party by' an inter-State Conference, which is now sitting in Sydney. .Vigorous efforts, are being made to'attract attention, and it'is said that the Conference represents feeling in Sydney, Melr' bourne, Adelaide, and several centres of the.- State. To attain that end, it demands a drastic downward revision of the tariff by the abolition of customs taxes on all goods, ex-' cepting stimulants and narcotics, as an urgently necessary and effective step towards the establishment of complete freedom of exchange of labour products for- the< Australian people.
