TERRITORIAL GRIEVANCES.
INQUIRY TO BE HELD.
Telegraph.—Press Association,
WELLINGTON, May 5,
In connection with a regrettable' incident at the Takapau divisional encampment on Sunday night, in which the men's tempers—probably severely tried by the wet weather— got the better of them so far as to creat a menae- ; demonstration' at headquarters, a court of inquiry has been ordered. • The men complained that they have no chance to, change if they get wet, and insufficient food was also alleged. After haranguing the lines the men rushed to headquarters and assumed a threatening attitude, eventually being dispersed by mounted police, who received a ,volley of sticks and stones. It is generally admitted that Colonel Chaytor, .officer commanding the division, handled the situation tactfully.
