The match between Manawatu and the Australians did not begin till after 3 p.m. yesterday Theer was only time for the local men to be disposed of. They made 177—Hudder 51. Luxford .39, Bartlett 24, McLean 19. Crawford, took five wickets for 19; Armstrong, seven for 8; s Layer, one for 42, Dolling, none for 37; Mailey, none for 16. The only stand made was by Hudder and Luxford, who' took , the score up from 48 to 120. .
