The supplies of stane fruits have much decreased, and the values for other lines have correspondingly advanced. Tomatoes, however, are easier in price and good dessert apples, pears and peaches are in better demand, while more enquiry for grapes and cucumbers is experienced.

Pears. —We quote extra choice Wil-

liam Bon Cretlana, northern grown, 6/ to 7/6 per bushel; Canterbury grown 5/ to 6/, Duchess, 4/6 to 5/6; Fertility, 6/ to 6/6; Jargonelles, 4/6; cooking sorts, 5/ to 5/6 per bushel. Apples—Good clean choice dessert are wanted and consignments of these are recommended. Choice northern grown Scarlets and Gravensteins up to 8/ per case; others 5/6 to 6/6 per case; Scarlet Pearmain, 6/6 to 7/ per case; Red Quarrendon, 6/ to 7/6; Cox's Orange, 8/6 to 8/9; Ripston Pippins, 7/6 to 8/; Mobb's Royal and Alfriston up to 5/6; Emperor Alexander up to 6/. Nectarines—Dessert fruit, 3/6 to 4/9; poorer quality, 2/9 co 3/ per case. Greengages—4/ to 5/6. Quinces—Good sample, l%d to l%d. Peaches —Good firm dessert fruit, 4/6 to 4/9; Cooking, 3/6 per case. Apricots —Season practically over; 3d to 4%d

Cape gooseberries —6/ to 7/ per incase. Cucumbers—3/ per case. Tomatoes —Choice, 5/6 to 6/6 per 241b box. G ra p es _Choice northern, 7d to B%d per lb. Garlic—2d per lb. Shallotts—l%d; scarce and enquired for. French and butter ,beans—2%d to 2%d per lb. Onions—Choice, £8 10/ per ton; pickling onions, 12/ per cwt. Vegetable marrows—Banana cases, 3/ to 4/; sacks, 7/ to 8/6. Citron per cwt. Pumpkins—s/6 to 6/6 per sack. - > Honey.—New season's bulk 3%d per lb; sections, 6/ per doz. Lord Overton strawberries —We are the sole distributing agents for the sale of these this season.' This, berry is without doubt the finest strawberry ever put on the " market, both as a cropper and a fine flavoured berry. We quote £3 per 1000 for delivery during the month of April. There is very little business doing in the grain market. The following are quoted f.0.b., s.i.:—Oats —A. Gartons, 2/0%, B. Gortons, 1/11% to 2/ per bushel; A. Sparrowbills, l/ll%d; B Sparrowbills, 1/11; Duns, extra heavy good feed, 2/2 to 2/3. Fowl wheat—3/10 to 4/. Bran—7s/ per ton; Pollard—lls/ per ton. Barley—Prime whole, 2/6 to 2/8 per bushel.
