ROME, Nov. 2

The most humorous feature of the elections was obliteration of the towering facade of the Gesu Church with colossal placards in the name of Leone Caetani. It is not known how the bill-stickers reached the giddy height, and it is also a conundrum how the Jesuit fathers succeeded in removing the name of the anti-Clerical champion.

Some bill-stickers serving three masters, with engaging cynicism, posted three candidate's bills over each other.
