TROUBLE AT THE STOCKTON
MINE-

WESTPORT, Oct. 7
Trouble has occurred at the Stockton mine over the question of what constitutes the "mine mouth" at the new workings. The men Claimed that-'their time began on entering the mouth of the old mine. The management held that it begaii from the time of entering the mouth of the new mine. The section employed on the latter works turned up in accordance with their contentions but were ordered home, •Lereupon all men employed at the ne numbering about two hundred, downed tools stating that a lock-out had occurred.
