MARIE LLOYD DEPORTED.
LONDON, Oct. 3. Amazement prevails at the action of the New York immigration authorities in deporting as an undesirable Marie Lloyd, the well-known music-hall performer, because she has been co-habiting with one Bernard Dillon, a jockey. The "Daily Telegraph" states that Vhe New York inspectors acted on the .strength of a London cable produced to them by a reporter. The "Pall Mall Gazette" describes this "Eccentric operation of White Slave Act" as illustrating sensibility of public opinion the United States on a point which other Governments leave to individual judgment.
