TWO ATTEMPTS FAIL.
LONDON, Aug. 26
Jabez Wolff started from Grisnez to swim the Channel, but failed when seven miles from Folkestone.
Sullivan, an American, has started from the South Foreland on a similar errand, but has not since been reported.
Liater. After ten hours Sullivan failed six miles from Grisnez.
