G. W- Phiyps, auctioneer, reports on his bi-weekly sale: — Vegetables are coming forward in good supply to a falling market. I quote as follows: — Pigs.—Suckers 10/6 to 11/3 each. Poultry.—Hens (good) 2/ to 2/6 each, cockerels 2/5 each, pullets 1/6 to 2/3 each, roosters 2/6 to 3/ each, ducks 2/3 to 2/9 each, turkeys 6/10 each. Dairy Produce. —Butter (separator) 1/ to 1/2 per lb., eggs (fresh) 1/ to 1/1 per dozen, bacon (farmers' sides) 10d to lid per lb.. ham (mild and cured) 10d to 1/. Farmers' Produce.—Potatoes (new) 2d per lb., potatoes (old) 10/6 to 11/ per cwt, onions 9/9 per cwt, chaff 7/6 per cwt, wheat 4/3 per bushel. i General Produce. —Cabbage 4/ per dozen, cauliflower 4/ per dozen, turnips 1/ to 1/6 per dozen, lettuce 1/ to 1/6 per dozen, cabbage plants 2/ per 100, cauliflower plants 2/ per 100. Fail , demand for second-hand furniture. Enquiries for good poultry and pigs.
