HYPNOTISM IN PRACTICE.
PROFESSOR BRAEMAR'S ENTER-
TAIXMENT.
A fair audience assembled at the Lyceum last evening to witness Professor Braemar's entertainment. Hβ explained that he did not wish to pose as a vaudeville entertainer, but merely as a demonstrator of the powers of hypnosis. This he proved beyond doubt. The first tests were mesmeric, and in these he caused the subjects to go into fits of unrestrained laughter. The most convincing test was one in which a young nian was placed dn an hypnotic state, and the arms, fingers, cheeks, - legs, nose and: tongue pierced without drawing blood. Two medical men who were on the stage testified to the genuineness of Professor Braemar's performance, and complimented him on his clever work. A number of humorous tests were given, and these thoroughly pleased the audience, who seemed loth to let the Professor finish his performance. For a clean, instructive and amusing entertainment we can thoroughly recommend a visit to the Lyceum to-night. Madam Dorrie will appear this evening.
