DISEASE TAKES A SPURT.
SYDNEY, Aug. 26,
Smallpox has taken a fresh spurt, and increased the stream of citizens for vaccination. The suburban depots havfe. been re-opened. The Minister of Justice, referring to the New Zealand Seamen's Union protest in connection with the Devons's seamen, 'has pointed out that three out of the 1 four who were imprisoned were undergoing punishment for refusing duty, in addition to committing a breach of the ship's articles in declining to be vaccinated.
