ALLEGATIONS AGAINST BUL
GARIANS REFUTED.
LONDON, Aug. 24
The Rev. Mr GeGntlecachett, secretary of the Bible in Foreign Lands Mission Society, and Mr Woodruf, an American missionary at Phillippopolis, both of whom rendered aid to the wounded in Adrianople, have visited the Foreign Office to protest against and refute allegations of atrocities by Bulgarians. ST. PETERSBURG, Aug. 24. It is semi-officially stated that the author of the "Daily Telegraph's" story of atrocities by Bulgarians is an ex-official in the Consular seryice, now a newspaper correspondent, but was not entrusted with any investigation on behalf of Russia.
