RACEHORSE BREAKS HIS NECK. MAN AND BOY INJURED. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 25. During training operations at Riccarton on. Saturday the aged gelding Fair Deal fell and broke his neck. The rider, S. Murfitt. had his collarbone broken. An apprentice in R. Longley's stable was also thrown through his horse baulking, and was severely shaken.
