FOR WORRIES.
Everyone should ask himself or herself, "Am I a can't waiter,' , said Dr Edwin Ash, in. the course of a lecture delivered at the Nursing Conference in Westminster. "If you find that the name applies to you; .then it is time lyou learnt self-}contJro>l," continued the lecturer. "Cant-waiting is the vice which ruins present-day nerves, needlessly wastes energy, and causes the strain of life in London to tell so much on one's general health." Dr Ash gave out the following general rules to help in the conservation of nerve energy, and thus make tor efficiency:—Wear reasonably loose clothing; spend at least one hour in the open-air daily; always get up at the same time; 'practice self-control in the little things of daily life—particularly eat slowly, walk slowly, dress slowly, speak slowly.
