BANK CLERK SENT FOR TRIAL.

FORGES BANK OF ENGLAND STOCK. LONDON, Aug. 21. Joseph Phillips, second cashier in the Bank of England, who was last week arrested for forging transfers of stock, was to-day committed for trial. Prisoner admitted that he got into the hands of the money lenders owing to Stock Exchange speculations.
