RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION.
Si BIG CONTRACT CONCLUDED
SYDNEY, Aug. 21
In June last the New South Wales Government concluded a tentative contract with Mr Griffiths, head of the Australia branch of the firm of Griffiths, Norton and Company, London, to expend £3,000,000 on the construction of the railways, including the remaining sections of the North Coast and Condoblin and Broken Hill lines.
The Cabinet ha? now approved of the scheme.
