SPREADING RAPIDLY.
During last week Dr East visited Helena Bay and Whangaruru, and found nine new cases, five of which were in the early stages. He vaccinated one hundred and fifty persons, mostly Maoris.
Dr Ventry Smith also visited the same districts, and discovered eighteen cases, the majority of whom are recovering. He also vaccinated one hundred and sixteen persons.
In the opinion of both doctors, the malady is spreading rapidly in the coast district.
