RECEPTION TO GENERAL BOTHA.

MOB LAW MUST BE ABOLISHED

JOHANNESBURG, Aug. 11

General Botha (Premier) had a great reception this evening at a party banquet at Johannesburg.

The General declared that the •people of a young nation like South Africa must not walk about as revellers. Mob law cannot be allowed If capital were frightened away it would go badly with the labourers and general community alike. Unless better relations were established between employer and employed there was no chance of avoiding a recurrence of the recent labour trouble.

The Premier indicated that the membership of the Cabinet had been increased to enable the people to keep in closer touch with Ministers.
