PIPES FOR AUXILIARY SUPPLY.

WORK TO BE PUSHED ON

An "Advocate" reporter interviewed Mr Medland, waterworks engineer, at midday to-day and was informed that the Borough Council had been successful in securing the requisite quantity of three-inch piping, through A. and T. Burt and Co., to instal the auxilary supply from the right branch of the Whau Whau stream. The pipes will probably arrive in Whangarei on Tuesday morning, and in the meantime all hands are to be taken off road works to make preliminary preparations. Mr Medland says: "If I can get the pipes on Tuesday morning and all the hands I require, I expect to have the auxiliary supply connected by next Saturday afternoon. - '
