Mr Bnnbury moved an amendment that payments for all Irish services should not involve a charge upon the British taxpayers. This was negatived by 328 to 208 and the resolution was carried by 318 to 207. A number of Liberals, including Messrs Cathcart Wason, Murray, Mac Donald, Munro, Ferguson, and Pirie are discontented with Irish finances.
