MURDERED HIS WIFE.
DECLARED INSANE,

SYDNEY, June 4
William Jones was charged with the murder of his wife, and the jury brought in a verdict of not guilty on the ground of insanity, with a recommendation that Jones be kept under strict surveillance.
When sitting at the dinner table in his home at. Windsor on April 16th, William Jones suddenly became demented. He rushed into the yard, seized an axe, returned, and struck his wife twice on the head with the sharp edge, splitting her skull. Jones afterwards explained that he could not help it.
