NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS
CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 16
The New Zealand Swimming Championship meeting commenced last night at the municipal tepid baths, before a large attendance. One Hundred Yards.— Champion (Auckland) 1, Weston (Auckland) 2, O'Hare (Auckland) 3. Won by 4 yards. Time: 63 3-5. Mile Championship. — First heat: Champion (Auckland) 1, Newman (Dunedin) 2. Second heat: Seymour (Hawke's Bay) 1, Welson (Auckland) 2 The final will be decided to-night Ladies' Handicap, 33 yards.—Miss A. O'Leary (Masterton) won from scratch in 25secs. She won her heat in 23 3-ssecs.
