BELGIAN RIOTS.

INFURIATED COAL MINERS

TROOPS ROUTED

(Received Feb. 12, 11.14 a.m.)

BERLIN, Feb. 11

A mob of coal miners at Mons attempted to liberate two strikers who had been arrested for looting. The gendarmes fired their rifles in the air and the mob dispersed, after several soldiers had been injured by stones. In another part of the town five hundred men pillaged a cart. A detachment of Chasseurs charged the mob with bayonets. The enraged crowd attacked them, forcing the soldiers to fly. The troops subsequently rallied, and several rioters were wounded.
