CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 13

Auckland wrested the Plunket Cricket Shield from Canterbury yesterday, but with very little to spare. Requiring only 59 runs in the second innings to gain the verdicjt, Auckland lost no fewer than eight men in the process, so keen was the fielding and so deadly the bowling of F eese and Beanett.
