Excellent crops or fruit of all varieties have beon obtained by all fruitgrowers in Whangarei this year, and the enormous shipments which are borne away each week to the Auckland and Southern markets bear ample evidence of the success of the industry in Whangarei. The abundance of fruit grown this year has made necessary careful picking for outside markets, so that in censequence an enormous quantity of choice fruit, though not absolutely first-class, is left on the hands of the orchardists.
