MR E. K. PLAISTED, of Whangarei, wishes to inform intending breeders that he has secured the undermentioned Stallions to do service in Whangarei and the surounding Districts this season. j THE THOROUGHBRED HORSE, FEDERATION ST. HIPPO—INNISFAIL. "FEDERATION" is an upstanding dark brown horse, 16 hands 2 inches high. He is the possessor of a splendid constitution, has plenty of good quality bone and a beautiful temper. "Federation" has been most successful in the Show ring, having secured prizes at the leading Waikato Shows, anad was awarded first prizes at the Auckland Show for two years in succession for the Stallion best adapted to improve the breed of saddle horses and hunters. Fees, £3 3s. Also: —The Purebred Clydesdale Stallion, Knight of Ware a SIRE, "KNIGHT OF THE THISTLE" (Imported). DAM, "HERD LASIE" (See Cards for extended Pedigree. "KNIGHT OF WAREA" was bred by Mr A. Alexander, of Normanby, Taranaki, who retained him for use on his own stud till this season. He is a good tempered brown horse of excellent quality, and has particularly clean free action. His Sire, "Knight of The Thistle," secured nine champion prizes at the Show, including Palmerston North, Wanganui and Masterton, and secured the honour for five successive years at the New Plymouth Show. He id the Sire of Marcellus, so well-known in the Waikato and Auckland Districts, and for which Mr Wm. Taylor paid Mr Alexander £700. Four colts sired by him were sold in Australia during the Melbourne Shov> sales at the following prices, £320, £310, £250, £250..
