ENGLAND v. AUSTRALASIA.

SECOND TEST GAME DRAWN.

LONDON, Dec. 17.

The second Northern Union football test match between England and Australasia and played at Edinburgh on Saturday and resulted in a draw, each side scoring one converted and two unconverted tries.

The ground was in a soft state. There were several changes in the English team from that which played in the first test. The men were drawn from fewer clubs, thus securing better combination. i

The colonials were chiefly on the defensive in the first half. England showed fine passing and handling Waystaffe scored an unconverted try from a breakaway. Lomas and Waystaffe added tries, and one was converted.

; The colonials tackled well. Francis ! just missed a goal from a free kick. lAt half time England had scored 11 ito Australasia 3.

The colonials showed great dash in the second spell and constantly attacked. McKivat scored, and Francis, from an awkward angle, missed the shot at goal. Russell then crossed and Francis converted. ' From then it was a hard game, without* any ■ score.
