A SPLENDID RECOVERY.

LONDON, Dec. 17

The Gray-Stevenson billiard match resulted in a win for the former by 636, Stevenson being at 17,364 when Gray ran out.

Gray was feeble in the afternoon, but better in the evening.

Stevenson was unable to make a superlative effort, though at one time he reduced the lead to 497.

Stevenson's best break was 344 and Gray's 264. The Australian was accorded an ovation.
