POLYGAMY DENIED. SMITH ACKNOWLEDGED FIVE WIVES. LONDON, May 1. Joseph Smith, one of the Mormon presidents, denies loose living and polygamy, and invites investigation at Utah.
The "Times" shows that Smith was fined in 1906 for unlawful cohabitation, and alleges that he confessed to a committee of the American Senate that he had five wives. " k
